Anna De Filippi, M.S., LPC-A
Supervised by Dr. Felecia Powell-Williams, LPC-S
Despite the patients' age, Anna de Filippi recognizes that expressing difficult feelings and experiences can be one of life’s challenges. She understands that individuals may not yet grasp the source of their suffering or symptoms, and deciding to seek help amid a busy schedule is even more daunting.
While words may not capture every nuance, Anna de Filippi believes they are a vital tool. Taking time to speak with a non-judgmental and attentive listener can help individuals explore what feels unsayable, leading to a sense of peace. As the Italian novelist Elsa Morante wrote, “It does not matter how the facts occur in life; it matters how they are told.”

Anna is a psychoanalytically oriented counselor who pays close attention to her patients' word choices, as well as what remains unsaid, which may manifest as bodily symptoms, dreams, and unwanted behaviors. Rather than offering temporary fixes, her goal is to lessen suffering by helping clients gain a deeper understanding of its root causes. She aims to assist individuals in discovering their authentic desires in life while treating them with dignity and respect.
Instead of providing one-size-fits-all solutions, Anna offers a space for her patients to find a unique path forward.

Originally from Canada, Anna has lived and traveled around the world. She holds degrees in Art History, Philosophy, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, she is a member of the Lacanian Compass group and speaks fluent English and French, while currently learning Spanish and Greek.
