Nayda Lamberty, Psy.D., LP

Dr. Lamberty is a clinical psychologist who was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She has a special interest in trauma, health psychology, couples therapy, and family dynamics. With experience working with both teenagers and adults, Dr. Lamberty emphasizes the importance of creating a warm environment where clients feel seen, heard, understood, and treated as individuals with unique experiences. When working with teenagers, she strongly emphasizes the involvement of their families.

She earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Ponce Health Sciences University. Her internship and postdoctoral fellowship were completed at the Roberto Clemente Family Guidance Center in New York City, where she focused on family systems and migration issues. Additionally, she obtained a professional certificate in Family and Couples Therapy in Puerto Rico.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in a systemic-ecological framework, which considers clients' values, cultural backgrounds, and environmental factors. She employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels I and II), and is certified in Brainspotting. This last method has helped Dr. Lamberty understand the mind-body connection related to trauma and mental health issues.

Dr. Lamberty is currently credentialed as a Health Service Psychologist (HSP) through the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.

With a deep commitment to culturally responsive care, she provides bilingual counseling services in Spanish and English, tailored to meet the unique needs of minorities while also welcoming clients from all backgrounds.
